At the End of 2007, And the Beginning of 2008

I just got back from a 5-week visit to Japan, with a side trip to Nanjing, China, and in a week or so I am moving, from North Vancouver to the City of Vancouver. This is why I have been so silent on my blog lately... but I thought I had to write something at the year end to conclude 2007 and renew my pledge to work for peace in the new year.

My trip is just impossible to summarize by just a few words, but I will just write about some highlights of the trip, in a separate posting, and hopefully will post it in early January. Ideally some time in the new year, I will host an event to share my experiences in this trip. My priorities though early next year will be the move, and family of course. I believe that my peace centre, which will be based in my new home, will evolve in the right direction as long as I have my priorities straight.

The first year of Peace Philosophy Centre has been just incredible, and it is hard to believe we have done all that! However, I know that this is not the time to reflect on what I have done; instead, it is the time for me to be who I am. I cannot possibly imagine being who I am without the love and support of my husband, my children, and my parents and inlaws. I cannot even start to fathom where I would be now without the love, friendship and guidance of my friends, colleagues and teachers. I feel the interconnectedness of myself and all around me, and the Universe.

Thank you so much. Please forgive me for the mistakes that I have made. I am sorry if I caused any hurt. I love you the way you are. Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Love,

Satoko
